Vibeeng School has a star-shaped design that embraces the entire site and the surrounding, beautiful landscape. At the same time, the pulsating centre of the characteristic star shape is the core heart room. Here, arrival, assembly and distribution spaces for all school activities are located, serving the 500 pupils at the three-form school, which covers grades from kindergarten up to 6th. This is where the school gets its energy – and the central point where you go to be inspired by others.

Furthermore, the school is characterised by its red exterior and the different bends on the roof surface, which creates ridge-like motifs in the façade and spatial variation inside. At the same time, the varying roof surface provides the optimum basis for solar panels and north-facing light openings, which help make it a low-energy class 1 school.
The variation in the areas is also characteristic inside the school. Various divisions provide the schoolchild with different options and serve as a learning tool for the teacher.
— Tinie Jochumsen, Teacher and wellbeing coordinator, Vibeeng school
The school offers everything from traditional classrooms, common rooms with large learning stairs to small caves, lofts and niches. Thus, the school is characterised by a wealth of surprises, and there is always a place that suits the individual schoolchild's mood or learning situation. An elementary school that takes care of its users, where it is good and easy to learn, and where teachers and children can thrive.
