Århusjordet is designed as a natural extension of Folkestadbyen, situated in the Telemark region of Norway. Our architectural approach draws inspiration from the scale, structure, and density of the existing environment in Folkestadbyen.

The residential area is primarily designed with pedestrians and cyclists in mind. The 24 distinct new residences will share a communal building known as "Folkestua" with the rest of the area, creating attractive spaces for communal activities. "Folkestua" will serve as a gathering place for various endeavors, including cooking, communal meals, courses, celebrations, hobbies, and community events.
By offering a diverse range of new housing types centered around community, the project aims to attract young families to the city. The project's objective is to make Århusjordet forward-looking in terms of communities, evolving housing needs, and integration of solutions and lifestyles focusing on sustainability.
The project is being run in collaboration with Dronninga Landskap and includes an overarching masterplan, a communal building, and 24 mixed housing types, all constructed in timber.
