One of the largest social community housing projects in Denmark, called Vollsmose located in the Danish city of Odense, is going through a major development. By 2030 investments of DKK 10 billion crones, will transform the enclosed 400.000 sqm residential area of Vollsmose into an attractive and cohesive district integrated with the rest of Odense.
In close collaboration with COWI and Hele Landet we are behind this comprehensive masterplan where we strive to develop and transform the area into a vibrant neighbourhood consisting of, among other things, housing for elderly and collectives for several generations.
“We have a strong focus on creating functional and attractive connections, new green urban areas, and a district for residents of all ages while strengthening the identity of a diverse community. We want to create smaller and more present housing clusters that current and future residents can identify with,” says Kim Risager, Partner and Senior Market Director in Arkitema.
The project is being developed in strong collaboration with Odense Kommune, AP Pension, Civica, and FAB.
