Right from the beginning, there was a strong focus on building on past experiences from the LEGO Group’s facilities around the world as well as a strong focus on sustainability. The many green initiatives involve a solar panel park, a rainwater recycling plant, roof-mounted solar panels, electrical vehicles, and energy-efficient production equipment.

The projects build on the LEGO Group’s and the consultants’ joint experience from cooperation on other manufacturing projects across the world

“Working with COWI/Arkitema in different projects globally over the past years, we have had the opportunity to not only leverage our own, but also the deep knowledge and competencies of COWI/Arkitema. In addition, we have experienced a great optimization of the design work between our companies. This is a great partnership where we all gain from teamwork, explains Henrik Priess Sørensen, Head of AM Extension, Trans. & Discover, Global Workplace Projects, the LEGO Group.
