Right from the beginning, there was a strong focus on building on past experiences from the LEGO Group’s facilities around the world as well as a strong focus on sustainability. The many green initiatives involve a solar panel park, a rainwater recycling plant, roof-mounted solar panels, electrical vehicles, and energy-efficient production equipment.

The 160,000 m² factory in the U.S. is expected to open in 2025 and will create around 1700 jobs during the coming years. The 150,000 m² factory in Vietnam is expected to open in 2024 and will create 4000 jobs over the next 15 years.
