HM the Queen inaugurates two new Arkitema buildings – Visitors Centre and School Facilities at Lejre Land of Legends.

It was a day of sunshine, archaeology and a royal visit when Lejre Land of Legends officially inaugurated its two new buildings on Whit sun Monday. Lejre Land of Legends is an archaeological theme park with reconstructions of historical Danish living conditions.

The inauguration was celebrated with historical re-enactments, a tour of the new buildings and speeches by Danish minister of education Bertel Haarder and Aino Kann Rasmussen who spoke on behalf of the Velux Foundation, the Villum Kann Rasmussen Foundation and the Augustinus Foundation.

The official opening of the new facilities was carried out by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
