Knowledge accounts 2004/2005
In Arkitema's knowledge accounts, under the heading "Between the profession and the business", we ask many relevant questions of ourselves, our colleagues and other players in the construction sector.
We present a strategy for a new architectural practice; a practice which not only focuses on the architectural work and the finished result, but also on the process, and on opening up the process to new possible solutions and new knowledge. We explore the idea of recognising the relationship between profession and business.
Finding solutions to these questions has proved to be a major challenge. We have had to disturb established dogmas and ask critical questions of ourselves, our colleagues and other parties in the construction sector. And we cannot raise the debate without openly stating how we will seek to develop ourselves in these areas.
Our aim is for the knowledge accounts to contribute to an ongoing debate on the development of the construction sector, and how we can jointly further it.
