We are Plan!
Plan is a part of Arkitema Planning & Landscape, one of Denmark's largest planning and landscape practices, based in Aarhus and Copenhagen.
Since 2004, we have been working in a targeted manner to build up planning skills within Arkitema which can function across the boundaries of the entire network, and in both the national and the international markets.
Arkitema Planning collaborates with public and private partners to produce concepts, strategies, analyses, programmes and master plans. We work with urban spaces and environments, all the way from urban renewal and suburban projects to whole towns and regions. We solve international tasks in China, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Brazil, India, Russia, Ireland and the UK, and new countries are continually being added to the list.
The goal of the Planning department is to integrate economic, social, aesthetic and ecological values. Our ambition is to develop sustainable programmes and plans in which nature is a resource and the building stock is a part of the landscape. We approach the plans with the help of a series of robust strategies and concepts which secure the values of the project and are flexible in relation to future alterations and additions. This is our fundamental approach to the work.
Co-operation is our ideology. As urban planning has historically been closely connected with ideologies for the strong, lively, rich or good town, we have our own ideology; we wish to create the customised town. Together with you, we aim to develop your town in the best possible way.
We therefore prioritise an interdisciplinary approach to all tasks and, where relevant, we involve our partners from the worlds of construction architecture, research, art, journalism, traffic studies, sociology, the environment, film and media. We are always on the look-out for interesting partners, and take the attitude that successful and long-lasting partnerships spring from collaborative networks based on equality, which both challenge and allow space for their participants.
