Arkitema China

Arkitema focuses on China. We have established offices in Beijing, we employ Chinese staff both in China and in Denmark, some of us speak Chinese and now our CEO has moved to China!

Per Feldthaus in China

In recent years Arkitema has seen a marked increase in demand from the Chinese market. Therefore, our CEO. Per Feldthaus has moved to Beijing in august of this year. Both to work with the existing demand and to seek further opportunities in the Chinese growth market. Per Feldthaus says, "When I move to Beijing, it is to show that we focus on China. It is a signal to decision makers in China, that we are here for the long run. "
Per Feldthaus moved to Beijing with his family, initially for one year and will still function as the CEO of the whole Arkitema Organisation with regular travels to Denmark.

Our Drawing office in Beijing

We have worked for eight years in China. Here partner Bendt Almvig has built up a solid knowledge of the market and established a large network. Since 2003, we have had a drawing office in the centre of Beijing, in JianWai SOHO, a business area with shops, offices and housing.
The office is now up to a total of four Chinese regular staff and a varying number of freelancers - and then Per Feldthaus. A staff that is supplemented by Danish architects who go to China to work in the Drawing Office in Beijing for shorter or longer periods. Bendt Almvig acts as sales executive with responsibility for the Chinese market.
China has seen an almost explosive economic growth over the past 20 years with large groups of people moving from the countryside to the big cities. This migration has created a demand for fast construction of new residential areas. The days when the Chinese built with no thought for the future are long gone. We are seeing a lot of attention paid to both quality and sustainability – and these are areas where we, through our experience can really contribute something. Our customers count several of the largest companies in China such as China Mobile, ICBC (China's largest bank) and the national off shore oil company CNOOC. It is precisely in order to better provide service to these important customers that Per Feldthaus has chosen to settle in Beijing.
