The three primary goals for the rebuilding and extension of Ganløse School were to transform the existing premises to accommodate differentiated forms of teaching, to acquire up-to-date subject rooms, and to provide a solution to the arrival situation at the school.
The new central two-storey concourse which cuts through the existing single-storey building solves several problems at once.
Two main entrances have been established in association with the concourse which identify themselves clearly in relation to their surroundings and markedly improve the arrival conditions. The concourse forms the school's new linchpin, with lots of life.
On one side, former subject rooms have been transformed into new home areas, while on the other side lie the project areas, in association with the home areas. A new building, the "Wooden Chest" contains up-to-date subject rooms.
