A large frame in natural light stone defines the overall building body towards the waterfront; a frame which you can not only observe, but also use to look out at your surroundings. The building spans the entire length of the site to give as many residents as possible a share in the unique and unimpeded view of Aarhus Marina, Aarhus Bay and the Mols peninsula. All of the apartments are equipped with broad balconies for relaxation and large glass panels which provide natural light and views of the surroundings. You are thereby close to the many boat masts in the marina, as well as to the cycling city-dwellers, the attractive beach area and the city itself.
The underground car park functions as a base which raises the building up and provides good views – even on the ground floor. On the waterfront side, the building displays a calm and stringent facade which follows the broken lines of the site. On the entrance side the building is more divided up and varied in its expression, with protruding facade sections that highlight and protect the entrances.
Architecturally, the building relates closely to the distinctive existing developments and their Nordic functionalism. Klintegården and the first stage of Langelinieparken provide the basis for the development's simple form language and choice of materials. Bulgarian limestone, large glass panels and teak characterise this bright building and provide references to the neighbouring structures.
