Kableshkovo Valley is a new extensive holiday and leisure area near Burgas, where 41 new leisure residences are being built. The holiday homes will be erected as independent two-storey villas, on their own sites, surrounded by walls of natural local stone – a type of holiday home which has only recently made its appearance in Bulgaria.
The residences consist of two different types of villa, measuring 175 m² and 225 m² respectively. Both house types have been designed as precise, white-plastered modernist buildings, with large window assemblies surrounded by black frames. Warmth is added to this simple graphic expression via common panels of teak: a material also used in the sun screening slats in the carport and roof terrace.
The picture windows stretch from floor to ceiling and are characteristic for both villa types: a simple and transparent form language which opens the houses up to their surroundings and provides plenty of daylight in the interior. Both villa types have a large roof terrace which provides a view of the Black Sea and the house's private swimming pool.
The interior is a regularly-formed, high-ceilinged space which, in one villa type, opens up in a double-storey space towards the outdoor terrace.
The villas are equipped with an installation core containing the staircase, cloakroom, stove, outdoor kitchen, etc. This core is made of grey-damped brick in long formats.
The floors are in travertine at ground level, and in light-coloured wood on the first storey.
